About This Wine
The 2008 Sangiovese grapes came from our Eakle Ranch estate located in the north eastern hills of Napa Valley. These grapes were harvested on September 27, 2008 and then barrel aged in 90% French & 10% American oak for 20 months. The 2008 Sangiovese Eakle Ranch was bottled on August 2, 2010 and has an aging potential of 8 years.
Fragrant and spicy, with black cherries, wild strawberries, and licorice aromas gaining great complexity from meaty, earthy and tobacco notes. Medium weight, with a vibrant, lively sinewy and supply texture leading to dusty tannins and great persistence.
