2012 Chenin Blanc Late Harvest

Vineyard Details:

Our vineyards in the north eastern hills above Napa yield rich yet fruit forward wine which is expressed from the terroir and climate. The climate being cooler at night and warmer days allows the fruit to hang on the vine longer and mature slower and even The Estate Vineyard is on a rocky clay loam hill side making the vines stressed which in turn makes low yields with excellent fruit.

Tasting Notes:

At over 60 years old, our Chenin Blanc vines produce a very small amount of rich and flavorful fruit. We decided to allot about 1 acre of vines to the Late Harvest program.  After spending an extra 35 days hanging on the vines, the yield was less than 1 ton. The fruit was pressed and fermented down to 10% sugar. Slightly sweet, our Late Harvest Chenin Blanc showcases the flavors of the tropics with a hint of lemon tart and a clean, crisp finish. Served chilled, this is a refreshing glass of wine that pairs well with a warm lemon tart or fruit cobbler.

2002 NC Zin Port

2002 Zinfandel Port - BArrel Aged 12 Years

North Coast

The fruit for this wine was selected for the port because of its intense flavor profile. This wine was crafted in the traditional Portuguese style and aged for 5 years in French oak barrels in our Winery’s Caves. Before primary fermentation finished, the wine was fortified with brandy to preserve some of the natural sugar from the grapes making it an ideal wine to pair with your favorite chocolate dessert.
