Shaun Richardson

Born in Melbourne, Australia, a country noted for having its' initial population hand-selected by England's finest judges, Shaun entered early into a life of wine. Studying at the renowned Roseworthy Agricultural College developed that great passion, leading to graduation at the top of his Enology class.

In 1997, Shaun visited California to gain international experience. 'I'll be right back' he told friends and family, yet the fabulous potential of Napa enticed him to stay, first for 'just another year', and then indefinitely.

Shaun led the winemaking team at Clos Pegase Winery for a decade, perfecting Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay. He makes his home in Calistoga, dividing time between family, consulting projects for winemaking and winery equipment, and graduate business studies, and has become a proficient juggler.
